Case Study: Successful website relaunch for bm - Bildung in Medienberufen

Media University founded in 1997 |  Cologne (2023)

A modern website, targeted CRM connection and a drastic increase in organic visibility…

As a private educational institution, bm – Bildung in Medienberufen (BM) in Cologne has been offering vocational training and further education as well as advanced qualifications with IHK certificates since 1998. In 2016, the School of Games was launched, the only one of its kind in Germany, offering practical training in the field of game development – an important building block in BM’s diverse education portfolio. As part of a comprehensive modernization strategy, BM commissioned our studio 48fps with a complete website relaunch, including a new web design, optimized functionality and a seamless connection to the CRM system HubSpot.

Challenge: Combining modernity and functionality

The brief: to develop a modern, target group-oriented WordPress website that not only looks good, but also meets the latest technical requirements. In addition to a fresh design for a younger target group, another key objective was to optimize the CRM connection in order to efficiently capture and manage the customer journey.

The approach: clear planning and targeted implementation

With a project duration of 12 weeks, the 48fps team was faced with the task of designing the website in such a way that it clearly reflected the BM brand on the one hand and met the requirements of the modern media landscape on the other. Thanks to careful planning, potential complications were avoided and the relaunch was realized without delays.

The new design aims for a modern and user-friendly user experience, while the integration of the HubSpot CRM system ensures that all leads can be collected centrally and filtered by channel. This allows the customer journey to be mapped in detail, enabling a tailored approach to the target groups.

Drastic improvement in visibility and visitor numbers

Just 12 months after the relaunch, the results impressively show that the goals set have been achieved.

  • Organic visibility: The visibility of the BM website in search engines has greatly improved. This is reflected in an increase in visitors from 200 to 1,000 per month, which corresponds to an impressive growth of 400%.
  • Dwell time: The average dwell time on the site is 2.5 minutes – a sign that the content and user guidance of the website are appealing.
  • Loading time and performance: Thanks to the technical optimization, the loading time of the website was also significantly reduced. This has a positive effect on the user experience and search engine rankings.
  • Backlinks: All valuable backlinks from the old site were retained, which contributed to the positive development of the domain authority.
  • CRM connection: The connection to HubSpot ensures that all leads are captured efficiently and centrally, allowing BM to take targeted marketing measures and continuously measure the success of their campaigns.

The relaunch of our website by the 48fps team exceeded all expectations. Not only is the modern design and functionality impressive, but also the seamless connection to our CRM system. Since then, the organic visibility of our site has improved significantly and we are seeing a constant increase in qualified leads.Thank you for the excellent collaboration!” – Henning Pfeiffer, Head of Marketing (bm – Bildung in Medienberufen GmbH)

Conclusion: A successful project across the board

Thanks to the targeted planning and implementation of the website relaunch, BM was not only able to modernize its digital appearance, but also improve its lead generation and organic reach in the long term. The fresh design, the technical optimizations and the CRM connection to HubSpot ensure that BM is optimally positioned for the future. The project is a prime example of the combination of modern design and functional excellence.
